The company of Aerocom, specialised in pneumatic transports and based in Kermen, near Stuttgart in the South of Germany has been founded in 1953.
Starting from 1959, Aerocom has introduced PVC-tubes and plastic carriers instead of steel first time in the market.
As a very inovative society, the first generation of motor-operated diverters were developed and started for production.
In 1963 the first automatic station with storage facilities as a world novelty was developed.
1970 Aerocom started their export activities.
In 1981 the company AIRFIX with a particularly big export share was purchased.
In 1982 the purchase of the well-known Austrian manufactures Aerotrans completed the extension.
With effect of October 1996 Dr. Wolfram Pfitzer, who has been the General Manager for the last 15 years, took over the company within the framework of a management-buy-out.
Aerocom today is the world-wide biggest independent manufacturer of pneumatic Tube Systems. In Germany their market share is approx. 40%, world-wide approx. 18%.
The sales in Germany are done by 9 own offices. In France, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, England and Italy own Aerocom subsidiaries are established.
Totally, Aerocom is exporting into 53 different countries. Aerocom today is doing a revenue of 33 million DM and employs 165 people.
