Marie-Ange Guilleminot Born in 1960 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (France). Lives and works in Paris (France). "Emotion contenue" (1995), video installation adapted specifically for the Biennial. The artist proposes that the viewer isolate him/herself by means of a hood directly linked to a monitor on which s/he sees an overexposed face. One is thus alone with the other, who is, however, not there. The intimacy of the arrangement turns out to be curiously displaced, and reveals the fascination exerted by the image, and the frustrations that arise from it.
