Elisàr von Kupffer, in "Chiaro mondi dei beati", depicts a miscellany of naked men in a universe where flesh remains Platonic. Kupffer's world is curiously sensual, precious and, at the same time, close to the pastelised, desexualised atmospheres conjured up by the symbolist painters at the end of the 19th century.
