Adrià Julià’s videos and photographs explore the notions of habitat, time and sociability, focusing, for example on new homeowners on an Valencia, California tract development or the origins of the Villa Basque in California, in 1960. The project he will debut in Lyon and at LA><ART in Los Angeles is entitled "A Means of Passing the Time" - a black and white film made in collaboration with USO performers.

Director/Curator of LA><ART and formerly Assistant Director/Curator of the MAK Center for Art and Architecture in Los Angeles, and Curator of Artists Space in New York, Firstenberg has orchestrated exhibitions by, among others, Isaac Julien, Daniel Joseph Martinez, Thomas Lawson, Lisa Tan, Mark Bradford, Didier Fiuza Faustino, Zaha Hadid, Ruben Ochoa, Charles Gaines. She writes for a number of magazines including "Art Papers" , "Contemporary", "Frieze", and is launching "L'art" - a new
online contemporary arts journal.
