KELLEY WALKER
born 1969 in Columbus, Georgia
lives and works in New York
Kelley Walker’s work actively and critically stands out against the forms posed by the circulation of art today. Appropriating already iconic images, the artist pushes them to their limits as a means of shattering their banality and thus rediscovering a capacity for action. The work on show at the Biennial is his response to a commission from a group of journalists in 2005.
ANNE PONTÉGNIE

She was invited to curate the 2003 Lyon Biennial with the Consortium in Dijon and Robert Nickas.
